What does life at home with your newborn look like?

 

In the first few weeks at home

In-home newborn sessions take place within the first few weeks after your baby arrives — once you’ve had a little time to settle in and begin finding your rhythm together.

One of the best things about in-home newborn sessions is the flexibility — they don’t have to be scheduled far in advance. Whether it’s a day after you arrive home or a week later, the first few weeks are the perfect time to capture this new love.

Connection-Not perfection

Your home doesn’t need to feel like it’s been styled or decorated — in fact, the less distraction, the better. Simple, lived-in spaces help keep the focus where it belongs: on you and your baby.

I’ll also send over a simple guide to help you prepare your space — most of the time it’s not about deep cleaning, just lightly tidying and tucking away everyday clutter.

Gently guided, naturally captured

I’ll move with you through your home, using the spaces and light that feel the most natural. Some families choose to spend most of their time in the nursery or primary suite if baby is resting there, while others prefer the living room or a mix of spaces throughout the home.

I’ll document you in your everyday rhythm with your baby — feeding, settling, holding them close — while also gently guiding you when needed. Nothing stiff or overly posed.

Your baby may be swaddled for part of the session to keep them calm and comfortable, but this is not a styled or posed newborn session.

The connection you’re creating

I get the honor of witnessing and documenting the bond that’s forming between you and your baby — in the way you hold them, care for them, and begin to know them.

The love shared throughout your home, and the soft, peaceful moments that unfold between you and your baby.

Because this is where it all begins.

I look forward to helping  hold, soothe, and settle your baby, or give you a moment to yourself.

It’s one of the parts of these sessions I look forward to most.
